Grounding Exercises

Grounding exercises are techniques that help people to connect to the present moment and work through distressing thoughts, emotions, or memories in moments of anxiety, panic, or trauma-related stress.


Therapeutic Writing

Therapeutic writing, also known as writing therapy, is the practice of using writing to explore thoughts and emotions in order to improve wellbeing and promote growth. It entails a wide variety of modalities and methods, and can be both self generated or guided by a mental health professional.


Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is the practice of offering education about ailments to people affected by the ailment. It can be both an intervention on its own or an aspect of an intervention however the majority of therapeutic modalities utilise psychoeducation in some way.



Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a practice that involves intentionally focusing attention on the present moment in a nonjudgmental way. Mindfulness has been implemented into clinical therapy interventions including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
